When you think of websites listing prefabricated houses for sale, you think of endless pages of steel blocks and unattractive flat-pack construction.
But The MirrorCube puts pay to that in one fell swoop. A tree house plastered in mirrors, it’s a reflective cube that snuggles in a forest without stopping you seeing the wood for the trees.
Fortunately, that’s not a problem for birds, because Scandinavian architects Tham and Videgard have added an infrared film “invisible to humans but highly visible to [animals]” to the outside of the home, stopping clumsy wildlife from dirtying your windows.

The property attaches to the tree of your choosing, also connected via cables to the ground, and boasts electricity and a toilet and space for four people. A kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room are included.
Inevitably, the stylish look and fully stocked interior comes with a hefty price tag of 275,000 Euros, according to TheBlaze.com. But if you can stomach the cost, this tree house is stunning proof that prefab houses for sale can be as glamorous as any mansion in Europe.
