European mansions for sale could become more affordable, according to the latest reports, as property taxes and fees are reduced around the world. Cyprus is top of the list, as the MPs voted this week unanimously to abolish Property Transfer Fees. For the next six months, anyone paying VAT on a property transaction will not be charged the country’s transfer fees, while buyers who do not pay VAT will see their transfer fee halved by 50 per cent.
