Demand for property in Murcia surges by 78pc

Murcia has often been heralded as the best-positioned region in Spain for recovery thanks to the new international airport and Paramount theme park, but interest from investors is also climbing, according to, with enquiries between March and May this year now 78 per cent higher than the three months from December to February.

And Las Lomas Village, a development launched this week in Murcia's most-visited golf resort, is set to drive demand even higher. [More]

Buyers looking for cheap real estate in Europe are still picking, according to the latest sales figures.

The Ministry of Public Transactions revealed that sales of Spanish property have jumped by 24.7 per cent in the third quarter of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010. This year-on-year rise is only matched by the repeated annual reductions in prices that have plagued the country’s market for the past year. [More]

The Indian investor bought the land in order to construct a wine chateau, which he has called Hana, after his daughters and wife.
